With the New Year now upon us, I thought it would be fitting to sample something new as well. I’ll be completely honest, over the past few weeks I’ve noticed the quality of products in Washington State slowly decline, so I’ve been spending a lot more of my money in Oregon. I’m hoping 2020 shows me that Washington can still compete with the Beaver State in the extracts department. On my recent trip to my local Washington dispensary, I came across an interesting and unheard of hybrid in the Blueberry Muffin Live Resin from MJ Botanicals aka 710 Reserve, out of Creston, Washington for a very reasonable $20 USD. Now to give you a little strain lineage background, the Blueberry Muffin, produced by bred by Humboldt Seed Co. is an Indica-dominant cross of the World Famous Blueberry cut crossed with Purple Panty Dropper and has been getting some positive reviews from the family.

I decided to try the Blueberry Muffin Live Resin in my Mobius Stereo Matrix Bubbler for this session and as soon as I opened the lid on her, I was hit in the face with heavy notes of Blueberry with hints of skunk and vanilla. This was a unique profile that reminded me of old school Chronic from the late 1990s. As I dug my nail into the Blueberry Muffin resin I was more than pleased as I was easily able to grab a perfect sized dab. As for the look of this extract, the Blueberry Muffin was light gold and reminded me of melted butter. Once the dab made contact with my quartz banger, I could instantly feel a heavy stone start to fill my entire body with happiness. Now upon exhale, I was able to taste her bouquet and it was without question Blueberries mixed with Skunky Cream and boy was it flavorful. After two solid dabs, I was beyond faded but not incapacitated. This was by no means a narcotic fade but it was a solid stone that had me feeling relaxed and pain-free for a good two hours.

For what it’s worth, the Blueberry Muffin Live Resin was a wonderful sample to start the New Year off with. Now, this gear isn’t going to take home any awards but it was a tasty treat that kept me coming back for that dank blueberry deliciousness time and time again. When it came to her strength and potency, the Blueberry Muffin wasn’t as strong as I had hoped and took me two good hits to reach a solid stone so for that reason I gave her a score of 8.7/10. In terms of her taste and pungency, the Blueberry Muffin Live Resin was quite flavorful and brought me back to days listening to 90’s hip hop in my hotboxed 1989 Honda Civic, so I gave her a score of 9.0/10. Overall, the Blueberry Muffin Live Resin was a decent sample for the price and I would absolutely recommend picking some up if you can find her at that price point.
